Changing The Perception Of Network Marketing One by One

With the internet budding as MLM lead generator, it's doesn't make sense not to utilize its power. If creating mlm leads is about a "numbers game" than you can generate far greater numbers using the internet to your advantage.

Network marketing is a form of advertising and selling a product, which already has been proven by mega giants like Amazon, Ebay, Google & Yahoo.
Each selling a product and/or service and being extremely successful marketing it to the general public. Network marketing is no different in that it is selling a product or service with its affiliates advertising and promoting those products which an MLM company produces.

So why hasn't the network marketing industry embraced this new and revolutionizing method of advertising and promoting? Fear of change, people in high positions don't know how to do this?Who knows. But the change needs to come by the distributors themselves as network marketing companies pressed into embracing this method mainly because its distributors are the one's who advertise the product.

If the distributors don't know how to market and promote online, than nothing will change. This has also lead to the negative publicity that surrounds the mlm industry as a whole. You can mention the word network marketing or mlm and seriously see people automatically turn and go the other way.

Everybody that has tried to recruit the old fashion way, has experience this. It is unfortunate that this shows how the public feels about the methods in which network marketing is promoted to this day, and how they believe they would have to do if they were actually involved in network marketing. Today's distributors need to change that image by educating and informing.

Recruit and mentor

This has always been the case and whether you market online or off, that is how network marketing becomes successful. Retailing your product is great because it can provide you with some immediate cash, but to be truly successful in network marketing, you must build a downline full of members purchasing company products and recruiting distributors under them.

But it is the method in which this is done that gives the industry a black eye. If we as distributors can educate and inform first by using the internet as our medium, it would be a natural progression for some of those people whom we educate, to eventually become distributors themselves.

A good long term effect of preselling using the internet instead of direct selling in person, would be longer retention and people willing to apply what they learn since the process of face to face selling or cold calling, is taken out of the procedure.

People have a tendency not to like sales or talking to strangers directly. But by promoting and preselling through the internet, it removes the fear factor from the people who quit because of the fear of selling.

There will always be people who try and quit network marketing simply because the fact that they don't see the long term positive effects it can have on their financial lives. But at least with a new plan on how to advertise, recruit and retain members into a network marketing, the industry as a whole with time, will start reflecting a more positive image and will begin to attract people on the basis of being a good home business opportunity, instead of a direct sales job.
